Benton Hamm, condiment magnate and bachelor of a continental bent, has come to the island kingdom of Rhipidos to acquire the world’s finest olive oil. Hamm must brave chain-smoking artists, tennis with the King, the strangely incompetent handyman, amateur cookbook authors, and a coup d’état. It’s not just about olive oil, he comes to realize, but being true to himself.
